Beginning to fall into place
Hello Everyone,
Well I went to the cardiologist today and he was very nice. Told me I have a heart murmmur. No one has ever told me that before. He had the tech do an echo cardiagram while I was there in the office and tomorrow I go for a chemical stress test.. They seemed really sympathetic to my limited time and I think they will get the written clearance off to Dr. Bell asap. That leaves me with ONE WEEK to surgery
We had a very good support group meeting tonight. It is always good to see everyone and hear stories. . My will be reporting in for me . I feel so blessed with all my new friends. I am not nervous at all. Just busy trying to tie up loose ends at work and get ready for the ride of my life.........

Those pesky murmurs! I've been told, since I had my first EKG at 30, that I've got either a murmur or extra heart beat. Sometimes it's there, most times not. Then this spring I was told by an emergency room dr that I had congestive heart failure. One EKG, one echocard and one major stress test later, NUTHIN'.
I had a followup EKG last month during my regular yearly physical and still nothing. Dr. Ehrlich was concerned that I had had the tests over 6 months ago, but my cardiologist and PCP agreed that it was nothing to worry about in regard to the surgery.
Good luck on those last seven days. It's exciting, isn't it??
