Finally Taking that step

So I've been lurking around here for almost 4 years and my emotions have been up and down but finally I am at the right frame of mind to do this. On Monday I met with Dr. Neil Floch and got my list of what I need to do.  I've called my PCP and she wants to see me before she gives me the letter (October 4th), have an appointment with the Nutritionist (Sept 17th), therapist (Sept 22nd), waiting for my pulmonologist to call back with the appointment.  I've faxed for my medical records to be sent to prove 5 years of obesity. Hmm....ok so it has been 2 days technically but after 4 years I just feel like I can't get it all done soon enough.

Does anyone have any suggestions of things I should be doing - drinking protein shakes etc?

Thanks so much!

Heather

It seems overwhelming at first.   Do your homework!   If Dr. Floch has an aftercare program and guidelines; read up on it.  Know what you can do and what you can't do. Ask your nutritionist all the questions about protein drinks before etc.  Your doctor and nutritionists know your situation and can guide you accordingly. The time for your procedure will be here before you know it.  It seems like it is going slow...to a complete standstill at times.  If you stay focused...and follow what your providers plan out for you.... you will do very well.
