Hi everyone, Last month I posted a message asking everyone to list what they ate in a day. There was such a great response and all seemed to like the idea. I know it really helped me a lot seeing what everyone else was doing plus it kind of keeps me honest when I write everything down. So I thought if you like we could do this once a month. Anyone that would like to share, please feel free to do so. Also if you could list how far out you are I think it would help. Thanks a bunch to all that posted last month. I'll go first again breakfast: 1/2 c cereal (cheerios) with 1/2 c 1% milk (sorry can't tolerate skim), 1/2 banana lunch: 2 oz. lf deli ham, 1 oz. lf cheese dinner: healthy choice turkey dinner w/mashed potatoes (I don't eat these often but got home late and was really hungry so this was quick) snack: 2 oz. nuts 3 1/2 months out Okay guys, let's fill this board and have a great week. Hi Mary Lou, Thanks again for posting this message string... I hope to see you tonight at the meeting. Here was what I ate yesterday. I use Fitday.com to keep myself honest. I don't do it everyday but every so often to make sure I am staying under 1200 calories. I am 5 months out. 7:30am- 6 oz Real meal shake with powdered calcium citrate added 11:00am- 10 oz of Isopure zero carb. protien drink (vitamin) 1:00pm- 1 cup of green leaf salad with 1 1/2tlbs of italian dressing and 1/8 cup of feta cheese, and 4 grape tomatoes. 5 shrimp (3 oz) with a tablespoon of ****tail sauce. 6pm- 3 oz of chicken teriyaki and 1/3 cup of spagetti squash(vitamin) 8pm- 2 calcium citrate capsules with water 9pm- 2 oz of unsalted Almonds I know that this may seem like a lot to other people but I could definatly eat more if I wanted and the calories came out to about 950 for the day and 105 grams of protein.

i'm doing this to find out how off course i really am,not as an example. breakfast 72oz. water lunch 2 2oz burgers (no bread)with swiss i 'm guessing 35 grams protein dinner grape tomatoes and carots with dressing 3 oz gorton fish fillet 17 grams protein snack pretzels 4 grams protein 72 oz water 8 oz lowfat chocolate milk 8 grams protein (less water than usual but, the milk filled me up) i just tried changing things up because the scale hasn't moved in 3 weeks. 5 1/2 months out beth

Beth, Mary lou, you guys are my heros!! I have been bad all week and feeling awful. I am a carb craver and have found myself snacking all week. Pita chips here and there, garlic bread..... Today 2 cups of Rojamojo coffee (coffee with protein in it) 11:am- can of V-8 noon-Turkey breast sandwich with mayo and lettuce on rye bread Dinner- 1 beef short rib with one piece of garlic bread.....bad huh?? I also drinks tons of water! Does that make me better?? Has anyone else gone thru this phase? I am 197 7 months out.....

I've found myself craving carbs lately too. I found that if I eat some nuts or seeds it helps get me through the carb craving. So I keep a mixture of nuts, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds handy to fight off those cravings. I've caught myself wanting to snack often lately and I know thats a very bad habit. I know that I'm not getting in enough liquids, although I just found a instant ice tea mix that is made with Splenda that I just love... so maybe that will help me get more fluids. Even though the day is not over... here is what I've had so far today: Early Morning - 6 ounces decaf coffee Breakfast - 2 ounces of cream of wheat with Splenda and cinnamon. Snack - 4 ounces Dannon Light 'n Fit Creamy yogurt Lunch - 4 ounces Chile Con Carne Snack - About 1 ounce of mixed nuts and seeds Dinner - Plan to have 3 ounces of broiled salmon Protein Shake - usually have at around 9 pm This has been a good day... on a normal day add in a nibble of this and a nibble of that. But of course, the night is still young!

OK guys, I just went on fitday.com and found out I really didn't do too badly. Calories Eaten Today source grams cals %total Total: 776 Fat: 34 308 43% Sat: 8 70 10% Poly: 10 87 12% Mono: 14 127 18% Carbs: 73 261 37% Fiber: 8 0 0% Protein: 35 141 20% Alcohol: 0 0 0% this is what it told me when I put all my food in. The protein could be higher though huh?

Love Cheryl's idea about going to fitday to get the totals... so here's what my totals were for what I ate today. Calories Eaten Today Total: 588 calories Fat: 19g 30% Carbs: 38g 22% Protein: 68g 48% That 3 ounce filet of salmon really kicked my protein count up for the day.
