One month to go!

Jeez, I feel like a little kid the month before Christmas - I'm so psyched that I can barely stand myself. I've started doing some "Post-surgical food stages" shopping, and never dreamed that buying a box of cream of wheat or a bottle of "Isopure Zero Carb" would be exciting. I've also done some math and think that I may be in a stage to eat almost regular food, albeit small amounts, at Christmas. Yay! Everyone at work has been asking if I'm scared and I have to admit that I really am NOT, not at all. Has anyone else had this total lack of nerves? Maybe it's just me, but I feel that the one thing about all this that is 100% OUT OF MY HANDS is the actual procedure, and that I have to trust in my surgeon and God to take care of that. When I realized this morning that four weeks from tomorrow I'll be all done (with the procedure, anyway), I couldn't believe it! Myabe I've just gone goofy!

Good Luck Bette!! Isn't the waiting the hardest part. I am so sick of hearing myself talk about nothing but this surgery. I have 8 days left and can't wait. I am not the least bit nervous about the surgery, just that these last minute clearances get done so there won't be any postponement. That would really throw me over the edge . Hope you will keep us updated on your progress!!

I'm with you Bette - less than one month to go! I can't believe it! Its so exciting. I'm thinking that I'll be on soft foods for Christmas - that could be a bit difficult, but I really don't care - I just want to be thin! I'm not nervous either, but I think about it CONSTANTLY. I think its normal (at least I hope so) LOL. We'll have to keep each other posted! God Bless,

Hi all!! Linda I feel like I already know you! Please all feel free to email me if you need to talk or ask anything. I haven't done everything just right, but I have learned from my mistakes. I remember being a month preop and having it in the back of my mind CONSTANTLY!! Kim and I talked ALOT because everyone else was sick of hearing us!! REMEMBER to bring a small fan. Most hosp. are hot even in the winter and it gets stuffy, and you are warm........ Please write if you'd like!! Cheryl

Bette, Best of luck for a smooth surgery and speedy recovery. I know what your going through with buying the post op foods, I was just doing that myself tonight and I was so excited! I'm having my surgery on 12/3. I live in Stratford. Like you,I dont feel scared either, a little nervous at the thought of the hospital stay, but I think that gets to everyone, but as to the surgery, its a new beginning and I am soooo psyched!! Best Wishes!!!!!!!! Deb
