Support Group

I live in East Hartford and wanted to know if there are any support groups located in this area. Please let me know. Thanks!

There is a support group in Farmington at the UCONN Health Center on the second Monday of every month. If you want more information feel free to email me.

Hi, I am pre-op and a woman I work with who is post op took me to the support group meeting at St. Francis in Hartford for Dr. Barba's group. I believe it is the last Tuesday of every month. The first hour was a seminar/lecture, and the second hour was a separation of the post and pre-ops in order to discuss the issues that both sides face with others who face those issues or have questions, etc. I really enjoyed the meeting as well as talking with Dr. Barba and his surgical nurse. I just want to echo Kim's invitation to Dr. Giles group this month. He is having a nurse that works at the Health Center that had the surgery I think over a year ago, she has had some rough times but is really doing well. She helped me when I had my endoscopy and is really nice and beautiful too. I remembered her telling me how she bought these special panties that hold you in but are comfortable and I can't wait to ask about them!!! We'd love to see you! Cheryl
