Thanks to all of you - I've taken the Plunge

Well I did it! After reading all of your profiles and inspirational stories I've taken the first step and am going to my first seminar next Tuesday - November 4th at Norwalk Hospital. Floch Surgical Associates is my choice of surgeons and I just can't wait!!! Thank you all for having the courage to share your stories and I hope that I too can become an inspiration to someone.

Congats Heather on taking the first step! I went to my info session in September, and I'm getting all of my medical consults done now. It's a long process, but from the sotries I've read here, I know it will be well worth it! Keep us up to date on how you're coming along! Meagan

Again thanks so much! I have a wonderful husband and mother who are extremely supportive but nothing is as good as talking to those who have been there. I'm hoping to get an angel soon too!

Heather: I went to the Floch seminar back in September where I met my surgeon, Dr. Ehrlich, as well as the two doctors Floch. The seminar is fabulous, as these three guys would probably have stayed to answer questions until the sun came up the next morning! Also, halfway thru the seminar, their post-op support group joined, and they were also a great resource. I have finished all my specialists' appointments and tests. I have my final pre-op meeting with doctor Ehrlich on November 19th, and my surgery (gastric band) on December 2nd. If I can be of any help with your "journey", please let me know. Bette

Hi Heather! Congratulations on the first big step! I am a Lap Band post-op and had it done with Dr. Neil Floch. I'll be coming in after our support group to the informational session next week so I'll probably see you then! Good luck! Kristen

Hi Heather! I am a part of the Floch flock! LOL! They are GREAT guys and I love them to death! I am down 92 pounds in 6 months! I will be at the meeting on the 4th....brining an interested pre-op with me. Just think- soon you will be a loser like us! Best,
