I read in the Hartford Courant a week or so ago about a store in Torrington Ct which has specialized in low carb foods and I thought I would share it here. Their website is: www.ingenhealth.com and the address is: 1400 East Main st. , Torrington Ct. Phone 860-4894475 I have not been to the store yet and nighter do I know the owners, I simply wanted to share some info. Hugs

Hi I am from Torrington and visited the low carb store today. I was very impressed. There is a variety of Atkins products and high protein products. It can be a little pricey but for the amount we eat, it's not bad overall. I bought 2 isopure drinks, high protein-low carb bagels, cream cheese, hot cereal and it came to $24.00. That food will last me forever though! It is worth the trip to check it out and stock up.

Hello everyone, I went to the low carb store in Torrington yesterday after work. The first thing I have to say is if you are coming from Hartford area make sure you don't go during after work traffic, what a mess!!! The drive is scenic and enjoyable sans traffic. Anyway the store is fantastic, a bit small, but they carry tons of low carb items. I did get to meet the owner and talk with her and she was quite pleasant. She is also willing to get items that customers want, and offers helpful suggestions she has got from other customers. Note that the motivation behind the store and the customers is primarily low carb dieting not WLS, so don't go there looking to get items or have her order items that might not be low carb and high protein The items are no more pricey than they would be if ordered online and added shipping and handling too them. I honestly have yet to see anything that is packaged and deemed good for you, be inexpensive. Lynn
