I'm home!  Had the band put in yesterday.  Everything went well, and the staff of north 4 is just incredible!  Everyone was so nice to me and so helpful.  It feels good to be home, and begin this new phase of my life- old habits die hard though...when I got home, one of the first things I did was walk into the kitchen and open the refrigerator!!!  Oh well- one day at a time- Laura.
Highest (MAY 2007)-269.  Pre-Op- 240.  Goal- 138-ish.

Welcome aboard your new life... a journey of many steps. Remember to create or break a habit takes about 21 days. Yes... One day at a time.. one meal at a time... baby steps all the way... with a few zipline swings! T.

Hi Laura, Welcome to the loser's bench.  If you know that there will be tough times when you want to eat (and you will) you can plan ahead.  Start making a list now of all the alternative things you can do when you want to eat.  Be sure to make some of them fun.  You know, something other than clean out the junk drawer.  Then post the list on your bedroom mirror. (HA!  You thought I was going to say fridge, didn't you.)  You can do something on your list and get a good look at why your doing this. Good luck, Bev
