I am looking for support to get me on the right track again.  Every day I tell myself that I will eat only good foods, but by the end of the night I've blown it again.  I am starting to gain and can't stop.  I live in the Hartford/Enfield area.

Oh boy, that is a problem I fear.  If only we could have our heads fixed.  I wonder why we do this to ourselves? I remember always doing good early in the day but by midday the madness would start. Try staying away from all bad carbs.  Detox your body of them and only have the good carbs. Bad carbs just send us into a vicious cycle of  wanting to eat bad. I hope this helps. Koukla

Getting off the bad carbs like the previous poster said is important but also try to go  back to basics. Be sure you are eating your protien first and then veg, fruit and other good carbs. Don't drink with your meals. Also it might help if you track your food intake, water intake and exercise. I have found spark people.com a free web site to be very informative and help with doing that. It will also show you if you are getting in enough protien. Good lick, you can get back on track. Sher

T, Do you know if you can somehow "print out" your tracking on sparkpeople?  I have to do a two week log to take to the nut. and am wondering if I should do it online (If I can print it out later) or just write it all down. Thanks, paula

I think with summer, we all kind of let ourselves "slip" and eat the "easy" foods.  Now that the kids are back in school, I'm getting back on track and getting into my old routine. Start by writing everything you eat and drink down.  Don't leave anything out, it's for your own good, and it helps to keep you honest.  You will think before you put something in your mouth because you have to actually put it in writing and be countable for it!  It works! Eat your protein first, in dense, solid form, not soft and mushy...and get your water in, too.  Take your vitamins and B12 and WALK or do what execise you like. Good luck... Paula
