Monday Food Log

B - 3/4 cup cottage cheese (OK, even I'm getting bored with this now.)       1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce L - Lean Cuisine Beef tips with portobello mushrooms and broccoli S - 6 oz. Vanilla Dannon Light n' Fit yogurt with 1/2 cup strawberries D - 3 oz. chicken, 1 cup of mixed yellow squash and zucchini S - Hood no sugar added fudgsicle. 1.5 miles on XL Glider. 15 minutes on Ab machine at gym at lunch. 64 ozs. water

B - 1/2 Proto Pure Protein Bar (they have 32 grams of protein) - I can only eat half - because after that it starts to get on my nerves.

L - 1/2 plus 2 bites of a chicken/ham/cheese wrap w/horseradish sauce - I'm stuffed

D - ?? Chicken I think w/veggies

I love cottage cheese but I would be getting bored if I ate it every day too..........The thing about it is, it's good, easy and fairly inexpensive! My favorite is Cabots fat free - I think it's so creamy - sometimes I'll add some bacon bits in it to give it a different flavor........

Hi Tammy, I do love cottage cheese and the main reason I'm resorting to it so often is that it is easy.  I can bring the tub to work and eat it at my desk.  I kind of gave up my time in the morning that would go to making an egg with cheese over to doing exercise instead.  Sometimes I bring turkey bacon to microwave at work but it sometimes gets stuck because I'm tight in the morning. What is everyone else eating at breakfast besides protein shakes, bars and eggs/cheese???? Bev

M.M.M.M. That sounds good.  I am off of bread until I reach goal but I could just keep a jar at work and lick the peanut butter off a spoon!  Thanks for the idea!  Maybe I could spread it on slices of apple.  Hey, this is getting better every second. (((HUGS))) Bev

I don't know how good it is for you - but one of my favorite snacks that I had to stop eating because I liked it too much was to mix peanut butter with fat free cool whip -mixed very well -  it made like a peanut butter mousse - extremely yummy! You need self control for this if you're a peanut butter lover! :)
