Hey everyone. I am trying to get aproved and right now I am working at a small animal hospital in Norwalk and our insurance is HealthNet and they don't cover WLS.  I am trying to convince the owners of the practice to switch to Blue Cross Blue Shield and make sure that there is a rider that covers WLS. Has anyone else gone through this? I have even considered quitting my job (I've been here for 7 years and love what I do) and taking whatever I can find that has the right insurance to cover my surgery. How would I even go about finding a job with suitble insurance? This is so frustrating!!!!!

I have healthnet and got approved in 06. Maybe it is the specific plan that you have, healthnet has different types and levels of  plans.

Good luck

I've called before (I think last year) and have asked online questions regarding coverage and have always been told no. I even asked if there was a rider I could add on to cover me and the said no. Maybe it has to do with the person I talk to. Sometimes it depends on the person's mood and how lazy they feel and if they are actually willing to do some work.
