One SERIOUS WOW, OMG, RU kidding me moment

I went for my 2 week post op appointment.  I was soooo looking forward to having all this metal removed from my tender abdomen.  You know, the washboard abs I fantasize about!!!!. Anyway, I went into the appointment knowing that I lost some weight.  My knickers are too big! I can see it in my face, neck and shoulders that I have lost something. As I apporached the evil scale, I said to it "Don't mess with me today, or I will take you OUT!"  The nurse got a chuckle on that. When I stepped on the digital scale I couldn't believe my eyes.......335 lbs.  I was 375 lbs when I was weighed for my pre-surgical appointment.   I did the jello jiggle all the way down to the exam room!  I am happy dancing!

THAT IS A 40 LBS LOSS OF WEIGHT!  I'm still saying "pinch me"  !  The doctor is pleased at my hard work and so am I. Now that my staples are out, I can really start working on exercising.

WOW!  That is a phenomenal loss!  That is so great.  I am jealous.  But I keep plugging along.  Congratulations.  Keep up the good work.  Can you tell the difference with your body movements?  I bet you can see it in your face. So happy for you. Bev

Michele That is so great I am very happy for you .....its an amazing feeling when you see the scale go down....I am trying to stay off the scale for 2 weeks I got my TOM and I want to wait a full week after it ends to make sure the bloating has gone down....but I will say this drinking all the water I am drinking is a BIG help with (.) My doctor and nutritionist are the ones to get some of the credit.  They are great motivators.  They taught me very well. I really stuck to the diet to the letter and then some.  I was on liquids for 1 day after surgery then they put me on cream of wheat, mashed potatoes and soft scrambled eggs. 1 large egg = 2 tablespoons of food.  Most of the times, I felt full with just 2 bites of something because the water is very important.   I also tried to move around as much as possible even though I had a MAJOR incision on my abdomen.   I can identify when i am hungry, and it usually is about the time I am supposed to eat.  I tend to stick to the 2 Tablespoon of Food rule because I don't want to stretch my pouch or hurt myself.   It is a very strict lifestyle which I plan on maintaining.  Now that my staples are out, I plan on hitting the ground and moving to loose.
