Update
Well, yesterday was the day I had to face the music with Liz. I knew I had lost weight but I wasn't doing the food log. I knew I was gonna get a slap on the hand for being a bad girl. Well, we talked about it and I am doing great in reality. I used her diet as a guide even if I didn't follow it 100%. I am down almost 30 lbs from my high (387 to 358) and I have 3 lbs to go to hit Dr. Aranow's goal for me pre-op. Here is the best news. I was told that if I keep working on the stuff I am working on and do my food log, take my vitamins and get my excercising up to where it should be Liz will pass me off. Yup that's right I will be able to play the weighting (lol) game in about a month. Now if only I can wait until after Thanksgiving to have it done since I am going home for that and having Christmas here and I don't care if I can't eat then. Only thing I will miss will be benada (however that is spelled), So yeah that is what is going on here and this is me doing my little happy dance cause I can't wear any pants unless they have an elastic waist cause they are too big.

Kathy,
This is great! I knew you could do it...Just write down basically what you are eating and get it done so that she will clear you...your file will then be reviewed by Dr A and when he checks it off, he'll hand it over to Lois, who'll get your approval!
Why not get it done asap? By Thanksgiving, you'll be healed enough and down enough to travel comfortable and will be able to have small amounts of all the foods. Don't wait, life's too short!
What is benada?
I will NEVER wear a pant that has elastic in it again...too easy for it to stretch out if I gain weight...I have to have a zipper and snap/button to monitor myself...and it works!
l'm very happy for you...woooo hoooo, you're proving to EVERYONE that you are serious about this and that you can do it...you'll do great after surgery, I just know it!

WOW Kathy, 30 lbs. is fabulous! Congratulations. I'm with Paula, do it as soon as you can. I am nine weeks out and I can eat anything now - just not everything! LOL. And you can show off to all your relatives how much weight you have lost when you see them at the holidays. What a great gift to give to yourself!
Are benadas like empanadas?
Keep up the good work. Can't wait until you are a loser like us.

My hat's off to you! You have done fantastic, and I am sure you will continue to be successfull.
Wishing you continued success on your weight loss journey.
As another poster stated about the elastic pants. Eventually you may not want to wear them anymore. A zipper and button closer helps to keep us in line as it is easier to tell when you add a few pounds and can put a halt to any increase before it gets out of hand.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys. Benada is Italian and is like a a calzone without cheese. My Aunt makes them with sausage and either spinach, brocolli, or potatoes. Very yummy. My problem now is the only pants the don't try to fall down are ones with elastic. Once I get close to goal then I will worry about "permanant" pants. I did do 30 minutes on the treadmill tonight and walk a mile. We will see about the date. Who knows.
