Emptying pouch

I had RNYGB done on 7-16-07.   My question is:

About how long does it take for your pouch to empty completely once you have had something to drink and something to eat?

OK, I'll be brave and take a stab at this-  It all depends on how much you eat and WHAT you eat- soft foods fill the pouch for a shorter time than dense protein rich foods.  This is probably something you should speak with your doctor about specifically- since some of it has to do with the size of your pouch too.  I'm sure there is a standard answer, but not sure what it is.  I've always had minimum one hour in my head- but that's because it's how long you I try to wait after I've eaten to drink again. Re Liquid- your pouch will not fill with liquid alone- what will happen is the liquids you take in will drain out of the pouch as you drink them and eventually get 'backed up' in the intestines esp if you're drinking quickly and your body can't keep up.  (this is water loading in essence) I think more importantly- Why do you ask?
