Well, I called the Dr I wanted to switch to yesterday.  I left a msg on the assistants VM and have had no call back.   Should I call back ? I have recently had some health issues and have not been "band-concious" at all.  I had to have some fluid taken out and now I have no restriction and feel better and am now starting to gain weight. I dont want to go back to barba's office. What to do ?!?!?  I need to get back on track really bad.

Well....since you mentioned it, his office was in fact the one I called.  I am totally unhappy at my surgeons office and have ovoided making an appt, and then I thought to myself, that I didnt come this far for nothing, so hell, I'm gonna just go to someone else. Well, I called the # and got Alba's (I think was her name) voice mail, so I left a msg with a little of the story that I am already a lap band patient and am looking to change offices as I am not happy with my dr, and would like to make an appt asap.  I was so sad when I never got a call back figuring that they just didnt want to take me on.......but.......yesterday a friend said just to call them back and ask.......so I called yesterday and spoke to a very nice woman in the office who I went over this with again and she asked me to call back Monday.  Then I was feeling even worse.  I said well I already left a msg yesterday.....and then she said well Alba is the one that does all the scheduling and she's on vacation till monday.     After that I felt SOOOO much better.   So I'll call again on Monday to make the appt. Can I ask you.....who does the fills in his office? Do you usually see the doc himself when you go for an appt? Thanks!  Bree

Dr Tishler from what i have been told always does the fills himself. I am just getting my first one on tuesday. I will double check for you. I have always seen dr tishler. Nina does the nutrion informaion to make sure you are doing what you are suposed to.Then if they feel you need a referal or something like that she handles that.

Dr. Tishler does the fills himself.  He has talked about hiring a nurse to do the fills and said he'd train the person himself, but Dr. Tishler knows exactly where he placed the port so access to it involves increased accuracy and very little pain.  That's important to me since I've gotten so many fills in a short time period. (I have problems with restriction)

Dr, Tishler is the best and the most pleasant, he and is office staff are always there when I had a question or a fill...HE does the fill and there is little discomfort..he takes his time with you...his support meetings are great too.  You won't be disappointed with him I'm sure. Let us know how you make out...We all care about you.

Thank you so much everyone.  I e-mailed back and forth with Alba yesterday.  They want to review my medical records from the old surgeon b4 they make an appt with me.  Alba said she would call me.
