WLS PICNIC

Okay everyone here is the information again for our Third Annual WLS Summer Picnic.  The Pavilion has been reserved for us.  We will be close to the beach and the parking and not too far from the concession area and restrooms. DATE:  SATURDAY, August 11, 2007 PLACE: HAMMONASSET STATE PARK, MADISON CT TIME:   11:00 am until 8:00 pm  We will be located at:  Pavilion #3  12 Picnic Tables  2 Pedestal Grills available 500 feet to Restrooms  1000 feet to Concession Stand  500 feet to the Beach No electricity or running water  No pets are allowed Come One Come All for some fun in the sun. It’s that time of the year again. Let’s all get together for a great day of fun, friends, family and some food and drink too. This facility has large pavilions, grills and a beautiful beach to swim at. There is a great trail to walk, a nature center and also grassy areas to have activates and relax.  I am hoping that we have a great turnout this year.

These activities are subject to change depending on the day and what everyone feels like doing.  We will play it by ear. This invitation is open to pre-op, post-op, anyone thinking about it and of course everyone's family, friends and significant others. The more the merrier. You should bring all your own supplies, food, drink, etc. Like last year we all brought various things and even shared too.   We also are asking for donations towards the raffle, whether you can get gifts, gift cards, make a themed basket or any type of idea you may have.  It would be a lot of fun for all and we are raising money for a great foundation.  Again all monies made on the raffle will be donated to the WLS Foundation like our Spring Gala, Annual Walk, etc.  We want to help in anyway we can so this would be greatly appreciated. Get the word out to everyone and let’s make this a great success. This is such a great group of people and we all have so much fun together, Saturday night at the Gala and last year at the walk and picnic was an example of how much we all enjoy each other. Socializing Time/Lunch  (11:45 am until End)                     People should bring their own lunch and supplies and can share dishes                    with everyone also. 

Group of Activities for Kids-Subject to change  (2:00pm)                  Volleyball Game                 3 Legged Race                  Potato Sack Race                 Water balloon Toss                 Sandcastle Making 

Announce Raffle Winners   (4:00pm)   Party, Party, Party with everyone until the sun goes down!!!!

of coarse,,my clan will be there,,,4 teen girls,maybe 2 teen boys,,about 4 or 5 younger ones and a mother in law,and husband,,give me a few minutes,i will think of some more..lolllsee you all real soon,,last year was so fun,and this year its gonna be sunny,we are even camping there over the weekend...COME ON EVERYONE,,ITS A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!! ,, AND GOOD COMPANT,,,MARIANNE,WHERE ARE YOU,,ARE WE STILL BRINGING YOU???

Hello Kimmie and all who is involved w/ putting this fun day in the sun together  !! I wanting so bad to get down there (Hammonaset Beach) as I`ve been there over the years with my late hubby and my daughter~~~but it`s been awaile,,,,,,,so If anyone is around the Cheshire/ Waterbury area,,,please let me know,,,I`d love to have company driving down !! I`m still recoopanding from my hospital stay,,,,,and I`m seeing a specialist to reevaluate my "colon surgery question"...... As far as I`m concerned I want it just to heal up.....and move on,,,and just enjoy the summer,,,,it flys by too fast,,so I`m tring to "make plans while Life Happens" Al of you out there ,,,my best wishes to you this summer,,and I hope soon we can meet,,,I`m fairly new to  Ct. Hey there Lucia, Hope your doing well.  Welcome to the OH Family.  As you can see we are a great group.  I have not been on in awhile, but I try to get here and say hello to new members. I have been a member for a couple of years and we have been doing this picnic to get old and new members together to meet or even anyone who is interested to come.  Bring friends, family to this great event, its a great group of people who are alot of fun. Hey Mags, I have not been on much lately either.  But it will be so great to see you too.  You can either wait until that day or send it to Dorota or Nancy K.  They are handling the raffle. I am not definately sure if I am going to be there this year.  Depends on my schedule but I hope to be miss everyone alot. Hugs KimC

  HI, I'm new to this board..I would love to go to the picnic is it open to all who has had the surgery? I see Dr. Tishler in Hartford and he is wonderful. If this is open to all my husband Lenny and I will be there and maybe a close friend Barbara too.  Thanks for the invite
