Hello all my name is Pam ( for those who dont know me yet) I recently spoke to the pastor of my church to ask for her guidance with this weight loss surgery and she asked me if I would be interested in starting a womens weight loss support group at the church and I of course jumped at the chance and I wanted to give a heads up to see who would be interested in joining we wont have an exact time and date until after I get back from my vacation but we are hoping to start sometime in August and pick it up to a couple meetings a week. I live in Wethersfield so if you are close by and want some support or want to offer support please come and we will be like Vegas... what is said at the meeting ....stays at the meeting This will be a place with love and compassion cause we all know what each other is going through and those who have had surgery can be even more help with questions , some of these women wont be interested in WLS but will still need a WLSG ( weight loss support Group) ( just made that up kool huh...he he he ) you can PM me if you have any personal questions . I'd be willing to give it a try. I looked at Mapquest and it says I'm about 20 minutes from Wethersfield and that's okay. The only support group I've known of so far is at my hospital where I had the surgery done and that is 30 minutes away and parking is impossible and at night so I've never gone. I'd really like to be part of a local support group, let me know when/if it starts.

melissa, i am so glad you are interested and as soon as i have a start date i will let you know...i think this is going to be great... we can start meeting at my house for now if we get allot of women and then when the church has a date we can move it there...just a suggestion let me know what you think.

are you going to the hamanessette (sp) state park on the 11th of august?

Just an update: we are still working on a date to meet at the church because the summer is a busy month for the pastor, but I would like to start this asap , when I get back from vacation ...I want to know how many of us would be willing to meet at my home till we have a time at the church? Just drop me a note I am leaving this Saturday the 14th and returning the 24th... I will be thinking of all my friends I have met on here , hoping they stay safe and for those I havent met yet I also wish you the best.. Love and Hugs Pam

Hello everyone, I am in TN on my vacation but wanted to drop ypu all a note and let you know how much I miss all of you and cant wait to get back and start this what I am hoping will be a wonderful support group filled with love and friendship. I am trying hard to stick to my diet, brought my protein shakes to help. Laura, how r u ? r u set for the big day? I will call you when I get in Sue, how r u ? we still have to get together for coffee...LOL...I will drimk water not a coffee fan... ok well I am off miss you all take care. Pam

Hiya sweetie...today and tomorrow are my last days of real food then I have a week of liquid diet......I am a scrapbooker/crafter, so when the urge to eat comes....I will have to just start organizing my craft loot....I just moved it all (almost all) from the rec room to my 'office'...WHAT A MESS!! I am so ready for my surgery...its the 30....St. Francis ....these last weeks are like the last weeks of a pregnancy.....can't wait...but on the other hand I know what I'm in for......as for Melissa going to the picnic...I already asked and it is a no......my family will be camping that weekend....yes 11 days post surgery...I am hoping I can stay hydrated....hoping it won't be too hot..........ANYWAY.......have a great vaca and enjoy your father..............................by the way....depending on the night and times...I would be interested in your meetings!!! luv, laura

Laura I am sad you wont be at the picnic but your health is more important, I hope allot of people will be interested in this group, when I get back and we talk you can let me know what days work for you and I HOPE OTHERS WILL TOO..... I need to scrap book too I have TONS of pictures to do..

Aw hell...I'll be at the picnic...not sure what condition I'll be in...but we are camping there that weekend.....praying for good weather.....praying for not too much heat!!!! Especially since I'll only be able to drink an ounce of h2o at a time!! luv. laura
