PICNIC INFORMATION

Okay all here is the information again for the annual picnic for those who don't already know this will be our third year having this great event, its open to everyone!!!!! COME ONE COME ALL FOR SOME FUN IN THE SUN.  IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN.  SO JOIN US AT OUR THIRD ANNUAL WLS PICNIC.

 LET’S ALL GET TOGETHER FOR A GREAT DAY OF FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FUN, FUN, FUN WITH LOTS OF FOOD AND DRINK TOO.  

THIS FACILITY HAS LARGE PAVILIONS, GRILLS AND A BEAUTIFUL BEACH TO SWIM AT.   THERE IS A GREAT TRAIL TO WALK, A NATURE CENTER AND ALSO GRASSY AREAS TO HAVE ACTIVITIES AND RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DATE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 11TH PLACE: HAMMONASSET STATE PARK , MADISON CT (PAVILION #3) TIME: 11:00 AM UNTIL 8:00 PM  PARKING:  $8.00 PER VEHICLE  DONATIONS ARE WELCOME

The reservations and payment have been made for the Pavilion and we will be close to the parking lot, the beach and the restrooms and the concession stand too.    We are all set to get ready for a fantastic day to spend together with our family and friends and share our stories, have fun and relax all together too.  I am hoping that we have a great turnout this year.   We are going to plan a lot of fun events like last year. We hope everyone will get involved this year. VOLLEYBALL                                                 3 LEGGED RACES              SACK RACES                                                     EGG TOSS  BALLOON TOSS                                               EGG/SPOON RELAY RACE  WATERBALLOON TOSS                                   SANDCASTLE CONTEST                              SWIMMING  SOCIALIZING                                                  RAFFLE     This invitation is for pre-op, post-op and anyone who is thinking about surgery, and also to everyone's family, friends and significant others. The more the merrier. 

You should bring all your own supplies, food, drink, etc.  Like last year we all brought various things and even shared too. There are (2) pedestal grills to cook on so you can bring charcoal or if you prefer you can bring your own portable if you have one. There are (12) picnic tables in each pavilion and there is even a concession stand in the area too. There are restroom facilities available and parking. Get the word out to everyone and let’s make this a great success. This is such a great group of people and we all have so much fun together, Saturday night at the Gala was an example of how much we all enjoy each other. Let’s keep this going everyone!!!!!

Again all monies made on the raffle will be donated to the Foundation like our Spring Gala, Annual Walk, etc. We want to help in anyway we can.  So if you would like to donate prizes, gift cards, baskets etc. it would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks everyone and I hope to see all of you there this year.  Again any questions contact Kathy K, Julio, Terri C, Nancy K or Dorota.

Thank You for reposting this I was seeing allot about this picnic but being a newbie I was very confused..LOL I think this is such an awesome idea, what a great way for everyone to get together at a picnic and not feel like I'm sure many of us do when we go to them I always would be like ok only eat one hot dog no snacks and drink lost of water so no one would know I was starving cause I didnt want to look like a pig... Your picnic is also the day before my BIRTHDAY...lol I might have tickets to a pre-season football game for the NY GIANTS but if I dont I would love to attend with my family. is there a cut off date to let you know who will be attending?  Hi Sis Thanks for posting the Picnic Info! I will be there  Grilling  The  Hot Dogs and Turkey Burgers just like last year  as well. Looking forward to seeing everybody there!
