I know its not ALLOT but
Good for you Pam!! Every pound you lose is one that you didn't gain!!! It's always good to go back to the gym- I am still working on that one. I saw Dr. Phil the other day and he said it best- breads, pastas, and sugar are the white devil!!! As much as we love them- they really aren't good for us. Keep up the good work!

"You won't realize the distance you've walked until you take a look around and realize how far you've been"
That's great!!! See, if you keep this up, you'll show the surgeon that you're serious about this surgery and do well with it. I lost 18 prior to surgery when Aranow wanted me to lose 10. I did a modified South Beach and from June/July until Sept 28th '05 day of surgery, I hardly had any carbs at all. If I did, it was in the form of a veggie, etc. I found walking to be the best...it got my body ready for surgery and helped with all the stress I was going thru. If I was nervous or anxious with waiting, etc, I took a nice brisk walk.
Make sure you drink A LOT of water...especially because it's SO hot out. You'll find that works well, too. Add one of those little packets of sugar free flavoring if you get bored with it. Paula

Congrats on the 4 pounds. I have 12 more to go. I understand, as most of us here do, the little victories need to be celebrated. I have to get my butt back to the gym. I have skipped for 2 weeks and I am feeling lazy. Oh and side note, just my opinion, don't let the hair loss stop you from doing what is best for your health. I am a little worried about it myself but I know that it will come back (I have a friend who did this and it got thin but it's back now) so I don't stress it that much and I focus on how healthy I will be when all this is done. Take care. Kathy
