Surgery date changed!!!!!!!!!!

Just called Dr. Barba's office with a question and found out that  they changed my surgery date to September 5. I am glad I called as I don't know when they would have let me know about the change. I am a little upset as I had everything in place for my August 15 surgery date. Has anyone else had this happen and how did you handle the news? i know I should be happy to at least be having the procedure but when you have your head set for one date then it is pushed back three weeks I feel hurt. Just needed to vent, thanks for listening.

i went thru this to and the last change they ended up having a sooner date. i would call and tell them you want on the cancelation list. that is what i did. good luck

Hi there! I am sending you a HUGE HUG. 

The same thing happened to me.  It was never put on the schedule according to the admin. at my Dr's office.  My date went from June 25 to July 16. 

I was heartbroken because we had everything in my family from a scheduling point of view taken care of and then <<<<<  WHAM >>>>> .  Plane tickets for my son so he would spend some time with his dad etc.    Now vacation time, etc has to be re-worked.  Not easy when you are an associate project engineer working for an aerospace company and your s/o works as an inspector for the same company.

Michele, Thank you for the Huge Hug. I really needed that. I am sorry you also had everything planned and then it fell through. I spoke to Sara at the doctors office today and she told me there will be no more date changes, so I feel better. I will pray for you and your family. Thank you again. KathiM
