Hi guys, Now that I got my picture up, I wanted to introduce myself.  I have been on here since Feb.(although mostly a lurker).  I will be having an RNY and I have two tests to go-an upper GI and an esophogeal manometry.  Nice to meet you all. Jen

Hi Laura, I know...how many months ago did you tell me I needed a pic?  I am so jealous of your date.  That was fast.  I'm hoping for early to mid August.  We'll see.  It takes sooooo long.  Which hospital will you be at? Jen

Hey Jen...don't be jealous....I had to work my butt off to get there!! I have had: 2 nut appts....1-one hour; 1-2 hour 1 psych. app.  all the freaking way out in Avon...took 1 1/2 hours to get there....I was late because I was sooo lost...nice guy though 1 pulmonologist appt.... 1-overnight oxcemitry..(measures oxygen levels while you sleep) 2-2 hour cardiologist appts...for nuclear stress test bloodwork chest x-rays 1 hour appt. with dr. for pre-op (for endoscopy) endoscopy done at hospital..... I could have had rny done at New Britain or St. Francis....I chose St. Francis because my PCP does rounds there....while my hubby is home with the kids I wouldn't want anybody BUT my pcp walking me down the hall (holding my jonny closed of course) Also, my original date was July 23...BUT...my PCP will be on vacation that week...(AGAIN...I want him to at least visit)...SO, I pushed the surgery back a week .....(he is so important to me) now with the 'other' surgeon...all I needed for surgery was the nut, psych and lose 10 pounds...then we were ready to set the date....(I had my pre-op appt with him already).....and I was turned down....then I chose 'this' doctor...and went through all of these appts. which are required of everyone.....BUT..now I know that I have a good heart, my lungs will carry me through the surgery and I am 'sane'...(I have it in writing)...plus, I don't have to worry about the closed off portion of my stomach having any ulcers!!   HUGGS TO YOU JEN!!!!!-God...you have lost 22 pounds!!  THATS AWESOME!!!
