Hi,, I went through Dr Bells office at Yale.  I was down as one of

his patients.,, but I went with one of his partners,,  Dr. Duffy. I have to say that he was "fantastic" ,,,  I woke up from my surgery asking my husband,, "why didn't he do the surgery", my hubby said he did do it.  I didn't feel a thing,, no pain,, no discomfort,,,, nothing.  I never used anything for pain,, it was

unbelieveable..  I had the Lap RNY,, and I feel great.  My surgery was on May 21, 2007 and I've lost about 25 pounds. Mary Anne

Hi,  I had Dr Bell, and LOVED him! He was the sweetest guy, and I remember him coming over to me and taking my hand while I was on the surgery table right before he started. It was great, I would do it again in a heartbeat. The pain was hardly anything and I was in and out in just a couple of days.  Sorry, neverheardof a verticalsleeve.  Robin R

I had Dr. Bell for my laproscopic RNY in July of 2005.  I can't say enough wonderful things about him.  He's very skilled and has absolutely the BEST bedside manner, matter of fact, make sure to schedule your follow up visits in the AM because he is NOT the type of doc that rushes you and will spend as much time with you as you need soooo he tends to run late on his appointments.  It's a good thing though

My hospital stay was 3 days...took a shower on day 2 and was out about 11AM on day 3.

I don't really know anything about the verticle sleeve, I had lap rny and have NO regrets.  I'm actually looking forward to my 2 year follow up in July, can't wait to see him!

Thanks for the great info. I had seen his pic, and was very impressed. its always nice to wake up and see some cute doc helping you. I am glad to hear that he is so good. i have yet to hear anything negative about him, so im really happy. Im really excited. but scared ****less at the same time. I hate surgryies and the pain that follows. How was your pain after surgry? what can you take? Mary
