Since you have chocolate/caramel...have you tried heating it up for a fake "latte".....

WE ARE PUT ON THIS EARTH NOT TO SEE THROUGH EACH OTHER...BUT TO SEE EACH OTHER THROUGH

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one
hand,  mudslide in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
  screaming !   HOT DAMN.....WHAT A RIDE!!

BECOME THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE

Old jaded post-op here . . . hope I can add some longer term perspective on trying to jazz up protein drinks.   For me, and like anyone else I can only speak from my own experience, try to consider why you want to enhance it-- because you are not just adding flavor if you are adding fruit and peanut butter, you are also adding carbohydrates (which can slow down weight loss, particularly early on) and, which for me is much worse, you are also adding a dependence on getting a certain amount of satisfaction from something that is just nutrition. I know lots of people sustain great weight loss by waking protein shake smoothies.  But, I also know my share of people who struggled because they never made that break from the need (or desire) to find some measure of satisfaction from food.  I guess for me, where I turned to food fo any number of unmet emotional needs prior to surgery, I have had to struggle at avoiding using food for the same purposes since surgery.  But we are all different.

What I did to make the hsakes palattable was to add lots of crushed ice-- for some reason, when they were thicker and colder they tasted less metalic and didn't induce a quick gag when I went to drink them.
