Summer picnic...please post info
There are some people that do not know about the picnic yet and will someone please "in the know" post all the info about it? I tried to search for it, but OH can't connect me to those posts, I get an error.

Its that time of the year again, lets get our bathing suits out, our families together and have some fun in the sun!!!!
COME ONE COME ALL FOR SOME FUN IN THE SUN. IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN. SO JOIN US AT OUR THIRD ANNUAL WLS PICNIC.
LET’S ALL GET TOGETHER FOR A GREAT DAY OF FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FUN, FUN, FUN WITH LOTS OF FOOD AND DRINK TOO.
THIS FACILITY HAS LARGE PAVILIONS, GRILLS AND A BEAUTIFUL BEACH TO SWIM AT. THERE IS A GREAT TRAIL TO WALK, A
NATURE
CENTER AND ALSO GRASSY AREAS TO HAVE ACTIVITIES AND RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DATE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 11TH
PLACE: HAMMONASSET STATE PARK, MADISON CT (PAVILION #3)
TIME: 11:00 AM UNTIL 8:00 PM
PARKING: $8.00 PER VEHICLE
DONATIONS ARE WELCOME
The reservations and payment have been made for the Pavilion and we will be close to the parking lot, the beach and the restrooms and the concession stand too. We are all set to get ready for a fantastic day to spend together with our family and friends and share our stories, have fun and relax all together too. I am hoping that we have a great turnout this year. We are going to plan a lot of fun events like last year. We hope everyone will get involved this year.

SANDCASTLE CONTEST / EXERCISING WITH CLIFF/TOWANDA / SWIMMING / SOCIALIZING / RAFFLE
This invitation is for pre-op, post-op and anyone who is thinking about surgery, and also to everyone's family, friends and significant others. The more the merrier!!!!
You should bring all your own supplies, food, drink, etc. Like last year we all brought various things and even shared too. There are (2) pedestal grills to cook on so you can bring charcoal or if you prefer you can bring your own portable if you have one. There are (12) picnic tables in each pavilion and there is even a concession stand in the area too. There are restroom facilities available and parking.
Get the word out to everyone and let’s make this a great success. This is such a great group of people and we all have so much fun together, Saturday night at the Gala was an example of how much we all enjoy each other. Let’s keep this going everyone!!!!!
Again all monies made on the raffle will be donated to the Foundation like our Spring Gala, Annual Walk, etc. We want to help in anyway we can. So if you would like to donate prizes, gift cards, baskets etc. it would be greatly appreciated. I will be making a very special gift basket to donate as one of the prizes too.

The Agenda is as follows (subject to change):
1. Check In/Name Tags (11:45am-12:30pm)
a. Sign-In / b. Fill-out your name tags
2. Buy Tickets for Raffle (when you arrive)
a. Small Armload ($5.00) / b. Individually ($1.00 each)
3. Socializing Time/Lunch (11:45 am until End) People should bring their
own lunch and supplies and can share dishes with everyone also.
4. Group of Activities for Kids (2:00pm)
a. Volleyball Game / b. 3 Legged Race / c. Potato Sack Race / d. Egg Toss
e. Egg/Spoon Relay Race / f. Water balloon Toss / g. Sandcastle Contest
5. Exercise with Cliff/Towanda (3:00pm) Towanda will do 3 Minutes “Get into body visualization” and Cliff will get us all warmed up
and then we will walk by the beach for no more than 15 minutes.
6. Sandcastle Creating/Prizes by Judges (3:30 pm)
7. Announce Raffle Winners (4:00pm)
8. Volleyball game Adults and Older Kids (4:15pm)
9. Party, Party, Party with everyone until the sun goes down!!!!
We hope to see all of you there this year, lets make this a great success. This is such a great group here on the CT OH Boards. So come on down and have a blast see old friends and make new ones!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there Paula, I put a new post up on all the picnic information. Its not all definate yet with the plans, have not talked with the committee on finalizing the plans. But what I posted is what I have as of now. Thanks Bobbi, for copying my post and putting on the boards. I appreciate your help. Cant wait to see everyone old and new. Hugs KimC
