Have you tried . . .
Hello Everyone, I am preop and discovered this incredible sugar free ice cream. It is called Eddy's slow churned sugar free ice cream. Have any of you tried this post op and if so, did you dump on it? If i could have this post op, I would be so happy. It is so good. It tastes better than the full sugar ice cream. You have to try it!

Good Morning, I've tried the sugar free Edy's it is awesome. I like the chocolate chip mint. I do get very ill if I eat too much of it though. Sugar Alcohol does cause dumping with me. (everyone is different though) I don't keep it in the house much because Ice cream was one of my triggers before WLS. It was my comfort food so I only get it occasionally & eat it sparingly. As a treat once in awhile. I have a wicked sweet tooth so I try to avoid my triggers even if it's sugar free. Friendly's also has a good coffee sugar free that just came on the market. It's more like ice milk than ice cream. I experimented with that one also & dumps away for me! Again everyone's tolerances are different after surgery. Only way you'll find out is unfortunately the "hard way" by trying foods once you're restrictions are lifted. BUT the end result is soooo amazing & how I feel outweighs any Jim Dandy ice cream sundae at friendly's ! :-) Mickey
