Ok, So I decided to take a good step and see a gastric bypass doctor, and Dr aranow did a seminar at my job. Aetna/ anyways I made an appointment with him, because I never saw a surgeon post op...he was very warming to me. He explains things to me, he helped calm my fears, he also told me I had a hernia...WOW. Scary. But since I am not having any problems I dont need surgery yet. Anyways I am doing better now. He did the pouch test, which I passed. LOL> and I am going to see his dietican and also see a plastic surgeon. Anyways, I feel better....Thanks Ya'll!!! Rachael myspace.com/rachaelrb

Hi Rachael, Dr A is great...you can trust that he knows what he's doing and will do right by you.  What is the pouch test?? He's not done that for me. I'm glad to hear that you're getting follow up care.  It is important for the long run...Vitamins, calcium, etc. Paula

Thanks for the well wishes. Pouch testing, LOL. I call it that. It is were he gives you two cups of water and tells you to gulp not sip it down and if you feel like you want to  then you are still OKAY

Oh, yes...that's water loading....we're supposed to do this prior to every meal to fill us up! He swears by it and if you do it, it does work! Paula
