i can eat more and more than ever
I don't know that I could eat a whole 6 incher, but I can definitely eat a lot more. I'm 10 months out now and my dr. said that it would happen so it's more important now that I focus on protien first, then some good carbs. For me, I can't really eat a lot of bread/rice/pasta and I choose not to either because those were my trigger foods. But if I had a 6 inch, I could probably eat all of the contents without a problem...
Yes, Rachael, unfortunately our appetites do come back. It's critically important that by a year out we have retrained our minds and our bodies to eat moderately, to eat healthily, and to embrace physical activity every day. Otherwise, we are vulnerable to regaining the weight...just like any other normal sized person trying to remain normal sized! I'm here if you need to talk...M.
It defenitely sucks to realize that you can eat whatever you want. The early stage where you can't screw it up if you tried is comforting. Even though I feel like a failure at times, it's important to keep in perspective how far I have actually come. Now I watch the scale and reign it in when it goes north a little. Good luck with the Doc.
