NEW DR
Hey Bree,
I feel your frustration. I had my 2nd year check up & I waited almost 2 hours in the waiting room for a 10 minute visit. There were individuals who actually walked out & cancelled because they waited over 2 hours & they were before me... My appointment was for 3pm & I sat until almost 5. The one good thing about the waiting room is everyone has gone or is going through some form of WLS so everyone shares their experiences. It's a great therapy session. LOL
It is very inconsiderate and if the office is understaffed/overbooked they should be pro-active and contact the scheduled appointments to let them know so we have an option to reschedule or wait if we choose to. As you know many of us take time off out of work etc to go to appointments. It's just not right. Thank God my boss is very understanding when it comes to this.
Then during my check up I felt rushed. I did have a few questions and concerns that I had on a "mental check list" that I forgot to ask about that went by the wayside. So I walked away with not much except my weight is good & right where it should be & my blood pressure is perfect (good things!)
However the positive: I set up an appt with Melissa the nutrienist & I spent over an hour with her going over my diet...answering my questions etc...it was an AWESOME experience and I'm thinking of seeing her again for when I need a tweak with my diet - eating. She is very passionate about her job & her enthusiasm & caring were genuine.
That's my experience. I'm also thinking about changing Dr's. God forbid if I need care with my pouch/health what'll happen. I think Dr. B is a very good Dr. & he's dedicated to changing people's lives & health...it's his office that leaves alot to be desired. With the exception of Melissa I'm not "wowed".

I always feel rushed when I go in there. This last appt I had, Honore told me it was her last day and she wants coming back etc etc, then just walked out of the room when the appt was over. Nothing like, take care it was good sticking you with needles all these months....nothing....just you're all set and left. Ok, so that just cost me 300.00 and I cant even get a good bye, before she leaves the damn room. She walked to the front counter and said do you want to make another appt. I just said NO and walked out.
Bree,
Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. I have Dr. Arronow. He is located in Middletown. I don't know how far that is for you but he and his entire office staff is excellent. You can communicate thru e-mail and phone. They have alawys gotten back to me quickly. He is also a Center of Excellence. He is listed under the find a surgeon tab.
Good Luck!
Monique
