Just wanted to let people know how very excited I am that Sara from Dr. Barba's office called me today with my surgery date. My date is August 15, 2007, i can not express how happy, excited and nervous I am all at the same time. I have been waiting for this for a while. I don't post often but am on this web site for hours each day, just readimg and getting alot of helpful information from everyone. I just want to thank you ALL for posting and helping others. Congratulations Kathi!!!! You are going to do just fine and before you know it, you'll be on the losing side! It is such an exciting experience. I am so happy I went ahead and had the surgery. I am a different person already and it has only been 6 weeks! Keep us updated and congrats! Michelle

Hi Maureen, Thanks so much for asking! I am doing GREAT! I have been walking around my building at work everyday - 1.7 miles! I'm eating well - still very little, but I haven't really had any problems except the occasional stuck piece of food. I'm down almost 40 pounds and I feel great! I can't wait to lose more! My clothes are fitting more loosely as the days go by and my energy is increasing. I really feel wonderful. I would love to be able to run a 5K one day! I have been inspired by you, Dorota, & Kathy!!! Take care, Michelle
