I have alot of qestions????

Hello. I am a new comer. I have been interested in weight lost surgery. My choice is the lap band. I go to my first visit with the Doc in September. I am very nervous. I have heard some good and some bad things. I pray everyday for guidence with this decision. The reason I chose the lap band is because I thought it was not much surgery or recovery time as the Bypass. Can I have a little input from those who have had this surgery. Thanks

Euniqua, welcome! I had gastric bypass in 2004 so I'm afraid I cannot offer any advice on the lap band. Once you chose your surgeon, be sure to start attending the support group meetings; they are a wonderful resource to get all of your questions answered and to begin relationships with people who understand where you're coming from and where you're heading!
