Oh, Paula, and everyone, thanks so much for your support! I'm just now getting on line to check in and am so touched by everyone's beautiful expressions of concern about my Sophie. We are healing. Channel 8 got word of "Sophie's Heart" and wanted to do the story; I hope it helps at least one person somewhere slow down on the rural roads that mark the distinction of our beautiful state. We still don't know what happened to her, no one has come forward. Had to be a very fast moving vehicle on our quiet country dead-end road because her spine literally snapped in two like a twig. That's what the vet was so amazed she was alive and fully conscious when she was brought in and put down. I wonder when this hole in my soul will stop aching. The essence of Sophie is everywhere. I find myself on the verge of calling her name when I wake up in the morning, "Come on, Soph, time to go outside." Anyway, thanks ever so much to everyone for your kind and beautiful thoughts.
