Progress so far...................
I had an attempt at a lap band in February and Dr. Nadzam was unable to complete it due my enlarged liver. He put me on a protein and veggie diet. I am finally beggining to feel the changes. I have dropped a whole size so far and can feel more of my ribs. I go back to him on May 14thth for reevaluation. I am eating very well and have found that the more protein I eat throughout the day, the more my belly shrinks. All my docs tell me that I will lose belly fat from eating this way. Basically, I eat three times a day. Eggs, tuna, chicken, lots of fish, and veggie burgers. I also snack on protein throuout the day. Naturally, I eat tons of veggies and salads for fiber. an't wait to see Dr. Nadzam in a month!
Sounds like it is working like a charm. My dr has advised me to eat like that.
I also have a fatty liver. I am on the weight management program with Diana and Chris. I have to weigh in on Tuesday. I don't think I did that well this month.
I think I have one more month before they will submit to insurance.
