JAMAICA BOUND

Well folks, Jim and I are leaving for Jamaica tomorrow, the honeymoon (22 years in the making) that we never had. The dog and two cats are taken care of; son Devin is farmed out for the week; Jim and I are both excited and nervous at the prospect of being alone together for the first time in 22 years - no kids, no animals, no bills, computers, jobs...just the two of us, alone for a week in the sun. We're taking diving lessons which will culminate in a dive expedition in the middle of the ocean; I'm just in it for the wet suit - I've always fantasized about being able to wear a wet suit. When push comes to shove - literally, I will bid Jim a happy underwater excursion and wait for him in the boat. I am terrified of sharks. Have managed to get my weight back under 145 for the first time in many months. I feel fit and healthy and strong and grateful for every moment of happiness this new life continues to produce for me, my husband, my children, my friends, and the happiest of all - my dog, Sophie, who will wait for me to return with her red leash hanging from her mouth. Have fun and enjoy. I know no matter how much I am going to loose (15 pounds to my surgery goal) I would never do a dive either. My dh wants to snorkle but he would do it alone too. The all-inclusives are wonderful. They cater to your every need. I was spoiled last year when we went to Cancun. Now we will never do another vacay for a week at a non inclusive place again. LOL

Hi Maureen, Hope you have a great time!! I am going on my first cruise in May for our Anniversary. I am going to Cozumal and grand caymen. i won't go diving but I am doing the snorkeling. My hubby dives and I will wait for him where I can see land! Anyway, Have FUN,FUN,FUN!!!! Sarah P.S. Hope you enjoy your wet suit!!
