I have made almost all of my appointments!!

I have made ALL of my appointments for this month except for the psych...only because I couldn't get in touch with them....I haven't gone to the 'seminar' with my husband yet...which is where you get the packet with all the dr's info....and what is required of you BEFORE you see the doctor....BUT...I received the info from 'an inside source-thanks sweetie'...I have an appt with: the cardiologist, the pulmonologist, and get this....Dr. Barba's office even let me make an appt. now with the dietition because I called them and explained that I have the info....just don't have it for the nutritionist.....they said...that is because she is in this office....and....ok...we'll transfer you...SO...when we go to the seminar next month on the third...I will be all set...I just have to 'jive' my surgery date with Jeromy my 16 year old son.....he's getting his tonsils out in May also.....at the outpatient center....can you believe that one........

Good for you girl! Be nice to have someone home with you the first couple of days! Hopefully they can can do you "Laporscopily" You will be up and around in no time! Now is the time to start practicing your new eating habits. Start using smaller plates and drinking more water when your hungry. Really helped me before my surgery. God luck to you!

ohhhhh so nice to see a friendly face....thanks Julio....your 'young lady' already is eating on small plates and I have a HUGE jug-o water that I fill twice a day...I will have to re-check to see how much it holds....I am trying to become more active and cannot wait to see the dietition...you know Julio, I really would like laporscopic RNY...but during the lap procedure your left lung partially collapses....I am not yet sure if that is going to be a problem...I will find out when I see the pulmonologist....back in Nov. of 2000 I had pneumonia in my right lung.....recovered...not fully...went back to work (foolishly) was coughing so violently that my left lung filled up with blood and collapsed......almost drowned in my own blood....it was HORRIBLE!! I was in the hospital for Christmas the first year in our first house....but you know what?? I was blessed that I made it through...I had my family to help me through and a wonderful dr (Romeyn).....it was also the Chrismas that I received my treasured mother's ring (yep-4 kids)...ANYWAY....I am hoping I can still have it done...we will find out next week!!
