Pat:
Learning how to eat early post-op is a new and sometimes bewildering thing.
Take your time. No rush. Listen to your new pouch.
Early on I would ask my pouch to accept what I was offering.
It helped me focus on just eating.. nothing else.
I found that I needed to be quiet while eating.
IF you are seeing a nutritionist, ask for suggestions.
and keep a journal of what works and what does not for easy reference.
It also helps you see how much you are getting in a on a daily basis.
Good luck.

Pat, I'd throw this question over to your surgeon's office; everyone's different, so my advice based on personal experience might not be the best advice for you. Work with your surgeon and his/her staff to get any questions answered that have to do with your personal set of cir****tances. Otherwise, I remember stressing an awful lot over just about anything! I worried I wasn't losing enough, that I'd be the only one on the planet that would fail post-WLS; I worried I was eating too much, eating too fast, not eating enough...I was constantly thinking that I wasn't doing anything RIGHT. Best advice - try to stay centered, peaceful, and just simply enjoy your metamorphasis. And work with your surgeon. Best of luck, M.
