I just realized that I started my "Journey " 2 years ago today. Has certainly been an interesting and rewarding little "Trip" so far. Have to say next to being a lot healthier than I was 2 years ago the best thing that has happened is meeting all the wonderful new friends that I have had the honor to walk this path with. Thank you one and all and know that noting can stop us as long as we know that there are good people on this board that will help us up if we slip. Take Care All,

Julio, Happy surgery birthday. What a rebirth it is. How are you feeling after the Plastic surgery? Does it make a big difference in how you see yourself? I would think it would. Well, go celabrate. Koukla

Hi Julio....I am a newbie...just beginning my journey...don't even have a dr. yet.....let me tell you though, you are such an inspiration....my husband and I often look at the pics on my laptop before we go to bed at night .....I am constantly reading your posts..I am in desparate need of the surgery...I have issues with my back...my husband is just perfect....in my eyes he is anyway....he is in no way overweight and the dr just gave him another 10,000 miles, so he is set for a little while....enough of my blabbering....enough about me....I just want to THANK YOU...and please don't ever go away....I look to you every day for strength and hope and thank God that you are out there posting your meals....and letting us know the goings on of your days....

I like what you said about bringing your son "into the fold" I think one of the biggest reasons I di dthis myself was I couldn't stand being a poor role model to my children anymore. If one of them grew up to be fat like me, because they followed my poor habits- I would be devestated. Now my kids look at me and see a person who is healthy and eats right, and they will do the same. You have done awesome Julio- amazingly awesome.

Thanks Everyone! You all help to keep this board both Interesting and educational. There is so much going on than just losing weight when it comes to this surgery and it really helps to see similar issues being brought up by others among us. We don't always have to agree but it good to try to get as many perspectives as we can to help us along. Again , thank you and Take Care,
