Hi everyone, It's been quite awhile since I've been on the message board. I have lost around 135 lbs since my surgery in 2006 (went from a size 30/32 to 14/16). But I seem to be hovering right around the 200 pound mark now for months!! Arrgh!! It's VERY frustrating! I know,....people plateau for extended periods of time, and I ALSO know that there is only so much I am going to be able to lose without having plastic surgery to take off all this lovely droopy skin I've got going for me now. And of course Medicare will never pay for that. But I seem to be holding what's left of my actual fat right around the ole' tummy and hips. Gee, what else is new. So I'm wondering if anyone else has ever tried Relecore, which says it helps diminish belly-fat when used in conjunction with diet and exercise. Any positive or negative experiences? Thanks and Happy Spring to all.

Congratulations Pat, 135 lbs in one year is just fantastic. I have not tried relecore or any other of those new things on the market. What is in it? I would be careful trying something like that without discussing it with your doctor. I bet you are feeling 100% better than one year ago. Sher

Hi Patrique (what a beautiful name to go with the beautiful new you!) - congrats on your great weight loss. I know how frustrating it is for you to stay stuck. There are many things that could be going on, do a process of elimination to see if things get moving for you again. First and foremost, are you exercising regularly??? This MUST happen to achieve good weight loss success. What is your work out regimen? Let's start there and be honest with yourself. If you're not moving, your weight will not move either. Secondly, what is your daily caloric intake? A common phenomena after losing so much weight so quickly is that the body goes into starvation mode and will not budge until you start fueling it appropriately. This far out, you should be getting 3 solid meals in a day, making very good, healthy food choices, that total between 1,200 and 1,600 calories a day. What are you eating? If you are working out regularly and making good, healthy food choices every day and your weight loss has stopped, check in with your surgeon and PCP BEFORE you take anything over the counter! We have altered systems so err on the side of caution whenever you are considering any types of medications, vitamins, herbal remedies, etc. Hope this helps, best of luck. M.
