How does one end up with an Angel?

OK...Despite my pompas posts, I realize I don't know everything. I'm scheduled for WLS on April 2nd and yet no Angel has appeared before me. Am I being punished or simply doomed? How does one qualify for, and get, a WLS Angel? I suppose I could make up another user name and profile and be my OWN Angel, but I'm thinking that might not be especially beneficial for me post-op. Not to mention that I would have to spend twice as much time online posting to myself and then replying. Any feedback on this issue? Deb Ramsey

Deb, Where are you having your surgery? I live down in lower Fairfield county. I was an angle for a friend of mine and I loved being an angel for her. If you are having your surgery down my way I'd be more than happy to be yours. I had my surgery almost 2 years ago (next month is my anniversary.) I have lost over 250 pounds and feel great! What type of wls will you be having and who is your DR.? Email me and let me know if you'll be having surgery down in this area. Best of luck- I know you'll do great!! Be well, Christine

One asks a post-op friend to be one's angel. who do you want to be your angel? Ask them!!!!

Frankly, I would like a FLOCK of angels from the fantastic Aranow clan, including you!!! Michelle offered so I may take her up on it. She'll be a fresh post-op herself and may not be able to see me, but I know she'll post for me on the day of my surgery. If anyone would be available to drag me around the nurse's station a few times, I would be happy to give it whirl! I'm scheduled for April 2nd, which, of course, is NOT a support group night. I'll have to wait until the 9th to attend one. Deb

Deb, I didn't have an angel and did well. I just read these boards when I could for support and posted when I had any questions. Not all angels can get to the person, in person. Sometimes they're there for support viz email and phone, too. Don't sweat it...we're all here for you already! paula

Deb, I won't be able to stop in and see you on 4/2 but I am happy to talk to you any time, before and after surgery. Email me off-board and let me know how I can help. M.
