Newbie,, surgery 3*19*07 LAP RNY
Hello, everyone. I have been posting on my blog. Just giving an update on my journey to the new me. I'm alittle nervous and scared. Probably because a majority of my friends aren't being very supportive. I told them if they dont have anything good to say ,just dont say anything. I dont need them jinxing me. I have been on this journey for over a year. It's my time to do me. They dont know what it's like to be my size, so they can relate. I would love to have more friends to my profile.. I am also looking for an angel if anyone is interested. I am 31 mother of two and engaged to a very supportive man..hope to hear from you guys...

Don't let anyone get you down! Be proud of yourself for making this commitment and sticking to it. I had my surgery on 2/26/07, and I feel it was the best move I've ever made for myself. I also am a mother of two and wanted to ensure that I'd be around to see my boys grow up. Best of luck to you and I'll be sending you a notice to add you to my friends profile! Keep me posted on how your surgery goes.
Hi Jami !
I just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking about you and praying for you on Monday. I had my RNY on 1/5/07 and it is the best thing I've ever done for myself. Please let me know how it goes and if you need to talk, don't hesitate to write me. I, too, will send a request to add you to my friends list.
Take care,
Trish
Hi Jami,
I want to wish you luck and a fun journey.
It's only natural to be nervous and scared. but think of the wonderful life you'll have after. Just to be able to play with your kids without getting winded will be great.
Don't worry about the nay sayers. they don't understand. Only another big person could understand what it's like to be us.
This is a great journey and remember to listen to your doctor. and obey his rules. They will make the journey easier. and remember to chew chew and chew again.
Also you will not wake up from surgery thin. It takes time to lose the weight but it will come off.
Also use the first 18 months to your advantage. make to most of those months. Don't stray from the rules. Really.
I was told that, (really it was drilled into my head) and it has made all the difference in the world. You could do it.
Can't wait to hear from you when you're up to it.
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! My prayers will be with you for an easy time and a fast recovery. You've got the right idea - this is for you - others can't live your life for you - we only have one time to get it right...........also congratulations on your engagement - exciting times ahead!
Feel free to add me to your friends list!
Best Regards,
Tammy

Hi Jami,
Wow, your surgery date is tomorrow! I will be praying for you all day!
Diane here. I grew up in Groton CT. My family lives all over CT. I know how cruel people can be, where ever you live. Now I live in NC. My surgery is coming up soon. I go to register at the hospital next Monday, March 26, at which time I will receive an actual date.
Please keep us posted how you are doing. What hospital are you going to be in? Where do you live in CT? If you don't mind my asking.
Blessings,
Diane
