GREAT SG MEETING LAST NIGHT!

Hi, all - just wanted to say how good it was to see everyone at the Middlesex meeting last night. I have not been able to attend these meetings for the past several months and I left feeling rejuvenated by the sharing. What a great group of folks we have in CT! As a side note, I bought my tickets for the Spring Gala - come on everyone, let's step up to make this a really terrific event! Any time we can gather together - for fun or support, it's a good thing. Hope to see you all on the 30th. Take care, Maureen

Are you the one getting ready to go on the cruise?

Well, we're going to Jamaica, Kathy but not on a cruise. We're celebrating our 20th anniversary at one of those all-inclusive romantic resorts. Yikes! Came very, very close to separating but I think we've been able to keep it together - both changed people because of my surgery and all that goes with it. M.

I remember you then from last night. I thought you said cruise but I know it was for your 20th anniversary. The all-inclusive places are great. My hubby and I went to Mexico last year and loved it. We never wanted for anything and the hubby had a constant buzz. LOL

Hi, Maureen! That was a good meeting! Just a note...I noticed that you wrote "Hope to see you all on the 30th" and I don't know if you're confused or it was a typo. The Spring Gala is on Sat., Mar. 31st, not Fri., the 30th. Don't want you showing up on the wrong night. Debby

Hi - I am new here - 3 weeks post-op and am very interested in attending a support group meeting - can you tell me where yours was and what I have to do to become a member or whatever info you have - is there a website? Thanks - Julie

Hi Julie, welcome! The support group meeting I am referring to is at Middlesex Hospital as part of Dr. Aranow's services for pre- and post-WLS. The meetings are every Monday night, at 6:30 p.m. in Conference Room B inside the hospital. 2nd Monday of the month: general pre- and post-op meeting; 3rd Monday of the month: post-op only; 4th Monday of the month: general pre- and post-op with panel presentations of successful WLS patients; 5th Monday of the month: general pre-and post-op.
