Panniculectomy

Hi everyone, I went to see Dr. Aranow last week regarding a panniculectomy (hanging belly fat/skin removal) and I was wondering if anyone has submitted to Healthnet for such a surgery and if so what was the outcome? It's not a tummy tuck it's the removal of what some might call the apron. This is a same day procedure. Please let me know if anyone has gotten approval from healthnet. Thanks, Cindy

I cant help you directly, but we did talk a lot about plastic surgery at last months post-op support group meeting. I know there were no less than 4 people who had had surgery and gotten it approved but I dont know what their insurance was. Good luck
