Has this ever happened to you???

Actually, a recent UCONN study demonstrated that caffeinated coffee (as if there is any other kind) is no more a diuretic than drinking roughly the equivalent amount of water (it seems that anytime we drink fluids, we encourage your kidneys to work).
I think many of us have had times when we have been particularly thirsty, or felt particularly urgent hunger pangs. It's possible with all the fluid you drank that you flushed what little food was in your pouch, which could have then promoted some hunger.
If you were dehydrated, that would explain the absence of a good BM-- which is also pretty normal. Just remember to err on the side of being too cautious if your extreme thirst or no bm's last for a few more days.
