I Did It!
I just bought Leslie Sansone - thanks to Towanda
I was going to join the gym with my friend from work on Tuesday but she forgot to bring her work out clothes in -so we were supposed to go on Thursday - when I tried to contact her on Thursday I couldn't get a hold of her (I left a message for her at work, at home and on her cell) - I am worried about her - I called her again yesterday and left a message in her cell and I talked to her son...........anyway - I still do plan to start working out at the gym with her...........but I had just bought a magazine where they were praising Leslie Sansone walking and I've also heard Towanda talk about it here so I decided that I'd do a multi prong approach and it sounds like a great way to ease into the work out thing - so between my bike, the Leslie Sansone walking and the gym at work - I've GOT to start somewhere.............I am the queen of procrastination............Also, just reading the encouragement that everyone gives regarding getting your body moving - I know it is the "magic secret"!!
Wish me luck...................again......................
Thanks Michelle! I bought a book/DVD combo Walk Away the Pounds: The Breakthrough 6-Week Program That Helps You Burn Fat, Tone Muscle, and Feel Great without Dieting -
So this means that in six short weeks I will be a super-model - would you like my autograph now?
Thanks for the luck - I need every ounce of support and encouragement I can get!;)
I just ordered mine from Barnes and Noble - it was like $25 - they are really fast so I expect it to be here by Tuesday or Wednesday..............
Let me know how you like what you got...............
Best Regards,
Tammy
Good luck Tammy. It sounds like you have stopped procrastinating and are being proactive now. I am sure this will help you to continue to succeed on your weight loss journey.
I have been religiously walking for the past month and have seen seeing results in pounds and inches. Also I have begun to look forward to it, something I never thought could happen to me. I have found that walking energizes me after and throughout the remainder of the day.
Hi Tammy,
I Started with a little bit of walking everyday and then graduated to Leslie Sansone! She gives quite a workout. Now I am a full-fledged (and proud of it!) gym rat! I spend 5-8 hours at the gym per week. So see ,all you have to do is get started and you will just progress to more and more! Best of luck to you
Sandy
You are all an inspiration! My brother gave me a pass to his gym last week and will go with me the first few times--but I haven't done it yet. I want to--I use the gazelle at home but know I need a better cardio work out. I will do this---the push just cam efrom all of you---and you, Tammy! I need to--I want to become the woman OUTSIDE that I know I am inside.
After 5 years of goign to curves for women I've decided to join a gym. But they are so intimating! the first visit i walked in and all the old feelings came back like what am i doing here all these people are young and skinny! there were so many of them in those little tight suits no one had a jiggle of left over skin anywhere!
i have a trainor who showed me the machines. but i don't know if i can do it. its just very intimating i know i've said that before but now i'm afraid to go back. at curves i am the queen. here i am low man on the food chain and missing being queen of the circuit. i will drag myself to go again because i know that it just takes a little bit to feel comfortalbe with being there. but man it is hard.
the work out i did get was great. i have't felt challenged in a long time i keep reminding myself of that!
