State of CT employees

Does your insurance cover lap band surgery? If so, how much did you have to pay out-of-pocket? I'm trying to get a job with the state and was just curious if the surgery is covered, as the job I have now doesn't cover it. Thanks!

Julie, I'm trying to do the same thing. Just keep checking the state job site for exam dates and sign up for the exams. I've taken one exam so far and passed, but there are ALOT of people trying for state jobs. Good Luck!

My husband works for the state an it was covered. Now, the fills are another story! I've been battling the insurance co to get them covered. What state job are you looking at?

When I checked in August of '05 they did not cover the band. My only option was the bypass. At least it made the decison of what surgery easy. Scott
