Lapbanded Therapist to Speak in Hamden
Hi, All!
The Hamden support group, which normally meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month, will have a special speaker at its meeting this coming Tues., Feb. 20th (postponed from the day before due to Presidents' Day). Terria Linn is a therapist who deals with bariatric patients (among others). She has a level of understanding beyond that of many of her peers because she is one of us...since she was lapbanded she has lost over 300 lbs.! Those who've attended a meeting at which she spoke all agree that she's an excellent speaker. And since she always varies her topic, even if you've heard her before, it's well worth the drive to come hear her again. This time she'll be speaking about binge eating.
The Hamden group, which is open to all pre- and post-ops, meets from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Hamden Senior Center (behind the Miller Library) on Dixwell Avenue. The group, which is run by a couple of post-ops, isn't affiliated with any doctor or hospital. If you need directions, please e-mail me.
