Kim started this last week and it was nice to check in with everyone. The list has been a little slow lately...miss everyone, whatcha all doin' this weekend? It has been a long week for me. Work seemed endless so I am glad the weekend is here. Tomorrow is ballet in the a.m. for the girls, but after that we may try our luck at the town skating pond. Abby saw skaters there today... so that will be our exercise tomorrow. We also have to go out and get the girls' valentines cards. Ava is having a pajama party on valentines day at school... so they are very excited. Sunday if it is nice, will go to Rocky Neck for a walk. May bring the girls' bikes along too. Anyway that's it for us...besides the usual housework and chores. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. Terri

Sounds like a full weekend Terri! Let's see - tomorrow I've got to go and by khaki pants for my business trip - they gave me a shirt (and it fit) but I have to wear khaki pants if I work the booth (at the women in aviation conference to be held at DISNEY world! ) - and I have to buy a new pair of good sneakers to start my new gym routine next week - then I have an eye appointment. Then I'm bringing Nathan to a Valentines party at the elementary school here in Somers. Sunday all three of us (me, my husband David and Nathan) are going to the Family Fun Fest at the Hartford Expo center, we're meeting our friends there so it should be fun. They're going to have a bunch of rides so Nathan is just thrilled! Then I HAVE to get my school work done in advance because I'm going to be traveling and I'm NOT lugging my lap top around with me..........so that's going to be a stress factor this weekend fitting it in. I should be doing it now instead of reading and posting here but I can't help myself! Then back to the grind on Monday...........too bad weekends weren't 5 days and work days 2!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tomorrow is Mishalle's basketball game and Thomas's practice, Also pictres for both teams this weekend. Will tackle the closet, as it is still full of stuff that no longer fits me. I have been promising Enrique that I will do it "next weekend" for 6 months or so...lol....My dad is back home from the road, so I will be cooking for 6 this weekend. Also, I will be his ride everywhere...nice to have him back home though (he is a truck driver). will go to church sunday, and the gym...hmmm either saturday or sunday, although saturday is looking rather fillled....also need to help the kids organize their clothes, and put together a presentation for work, or at least get started on one. Monday is ME day,,,,,It is the only day of the year that I get a day off from work but the kids still go to school....I plan to go to the gym in the morning, and spend the rest of the day at the bookstore, reading, doing research, and sipping coffee,,,,,AAHHH my idea of heaven,,,,then in the evening, Support group meeting..It is the 2nd Monday of the month, and that is the one I usually try to go to. I made some spaghetti squash for dinner donight, and even my dad loved it!!!...But, alas, 7 year old Thomas hated it...oh well...real pasta for him (with just a little squash mixed in...sshhhh)... I have been doing pretty well with food and exersize, Walk or run every day 30 to 45 minutes, do upper body workouts about 3 times per week, do sit-ups about 5 times a week, although Dr. Aranow really wants me to do crunches...so I am modifying my routine. And, unfortunately, only make it to the gym once a week...that is my weak point..oh well...Since even once a week is such a chore, I am happy to do it once a week, as long as I stick to it, and keep up my daily routine. ... Well, well, well, How is that for stream of thought, put it all down??? LOL... Don't get me started!!!!! Dorota

Hi everyone, was just checking in and thought I would add my two cents. I have been nursing a cold this week but I haven't let it get in the way of reaching my goals for the week. I got in three days of 30 minutes on the tredmill with two days of muscle strenghthening exercises, kept my food diary, ate well 95% of the time. This weekend I plan to spend with my husband, not sure what we will do. My grandson will be here with his dad so I hope to spend some time with them also. I need to do some housework too, not something any of us really enjoy but has to be done. Have a great weekend ! Sher

Hi All, Didn't see the post last night...so here's what's going on for today and tomorrow! I don't really know! Bob started his commute from here in Westerly to Windsor Locks and started his new job last Monday. He seemed to have an excellent week and looked awesomely handsome in his dress clothes! He'd wake me at 5am as he was leaving to show me how he looked in what I ironed for him the night before! Too bad he had to leave so soon each day! We've all been also nursing colds, so, not so sure what we'll be doing this weekend. No travelling, that's for sure. The 90 minute drive each way is enough for Bob to ask him to travel anywhere. Maybe we'll take the kids to the YMCA to family swim one day. We only have till the end of the month on our membership, as we cancelled it already due to our move. Oh, our move....not much happening on that, yet. We did contract with a flooring guy to rip out all the different flooring (hardwood, vinyl, carpet) that's been very well worn for a 5 1/2 yr old house and put all new hardwood throughout the first floor. Gotta put something into the place to get a good return, we say. He'll be doing this the first week in March. I've gotta get all the odds and ends in boxes and we're going to rent a storage unit here to start putting boxes in for the movers when we move. THere's a lot to weed through and get rid of, and then pack to get ready. When will we market this place? Not until after the work is done. We are trying to wait to let the kids finish this year at school, I just hope the commute doesn't wear too much on Bob...thank God he has Sirius radio and can get lost in Howard Stern's show while he's riding. Once his training is done, he'll be working odd hours, so the traffic won't be that bad..not that's it's a bad one, anyway. Through Hartford from Rte 2 to 84 to the jump on 91 (and vice versa) is usually the worst anyways. We do have a teacher at the kid's school that may be interested in the house, so, if we can sell it without an agent or marketing it, it would be great!!! Don't know if anyone ever heard of this, but if one puts a statue of St. Joseph buried in their backyard (some say upside down and facing the street, others say different) that it'll make your house sell sooner! I've done this once and it sold toot sweet. I've had friends do it and their houses sold that day. My sister has done it and it worked. My nephew just did it last winter and sold his condo outright himself in one weekend. SO, I've got to get my statue (you then un earth him and place him in a place of prominence in your new home) ready! They have little packages ready to go at the store...along with a prayer to say, etc. Ok, I'm avoiding talking about eating and exercise....Eating, is off and on....I did excellent a couple days this week, but felt stressed and bored and got into the snack bags of chips and doritos and fritos and cheetos and did a job on them...too much salt and I'm 3 lbs up...gotta flush that out today. As far as exercise goes...Zilth...nada...nothing. I admit it...I'm LAZY...I've been pulling all kinds of muscles in my back all over the place over and over and I've GOT to build up my core cause it will only get worse and I've got a LOT of packing and lugging ahead of me and can't afford to injure myself then. THough, the muscle relaxer gives me a good buzz when I have to take it! Nerves...I guess I have to admit that I'm nervous and scared and also sad that we're moving. I've found my niche here in Westerly, I love the fact that I live 2 miles from the ocean and beach, and I finally met some nice friends here...It's nice (after 6 moves in 11 years) to be able to stand in Walmart for a half hour chatting with someone I run into and haven't seen...I hope to be able to meet some nice people where we move, besides family....I'm shy at first and have a hard time getting myself out there at first to do it, but once I do, I'm friendly and hope to be a good friend. Enough stream of consciousness for now....I'm getting myself sad! I'm tired of the cold weather...I do wish we'd get ONE good dumping of snow to be able to go out and play this year with the kids...and maybe take them to the small ski area here tubing. But, nothing like they've gotten up in NY state...that's just unusual! Have a good weekend, everyone...Stay warm! Paula

Hey Cyndee, Good to hear from you. The girls and I are doing great. I don't know if I am keeping them busy or visa versa.... it gets crazy sometimes. I don't need to tell you that though! Sounds like life is pretty busy with you too. Glad to hear that your niece is with you now and that you are able to get back to work. Hoping that c-diff works its way out of your system soon. I am planning to go to the gala. Hope you can go! I am looking forward to it. take care

Hey Terri, Thanks for starting this. I am late checking in, been so busy lately I am not on as much as before, Its great to see everyone is doing well. I have been so busy at work and home. Running back and forth doing things for my mom and then my house stuff. We all have been fighting colds and bugs, but doing better. We have had one busy weekend after another. But we enjoy it. The weather has been a bit nippy and man am I feeling it. Lots of layers for me. LOL LOL Had Friday off had to take the kitty for her surgery, we got her fixed and declawed so it was a rough day for us. We were worried and missed her alot, she stayed overnight and did great. We picked her up on Saturday. She is such a sweetie pie, we love her so much, she has been sleeping mostly all weekend, but thats okay. She will be herself again soon. Tom took me and Erin out to dinner last night (Saturday) for Valentine's Day. It was nice we went to a local Italian Restuarant we had gift certificates for. We had fun. Got all dressed up and enjoyed the evening. I did not eat much though, everything was too heavy and large amounts, so basically ate my soup and salad and brought the dinner home. Tom and Erin enjoyed theirs too. It was so nice to get out. Today we just vegged, did my laundry and cleaning. We went for a nice walk this morning around the neighborhood it felt great. Have been slacking on the gym, but back to the grind starting Monday. Everyone have a great weekend. Miss you all. Hugs KimC
