The end.
I am coming to the end of a 15-month road on Monday that started four months after my gastric surgery in April of 2005. My work for the masters in education finishes in three days. It has given me some opportunity to reflect on some of the positives and negatives of this experience so far, and I want to share them here:
Positives:
1) Use the feelings of improvement and better health that occur in the first few months and do something with it. Think of a goal that you always wanted to achieve in life and pursue it then.
2) Any experience is good. I never thought it would happen, but my personal experience with the gastric bypass has actually allowed me to give helpful suggestions to people that I care for. Come in to those meetings and learn what works for other people!
Negatives:
1) Watch out for the stress management. I have gained back some weight as a consequence of dropping other things in life to succeed at work and do well in college. It is easy to lose track of personal health.
2) Watch out for "down time". When I am bored I eat.
The question is, what next? (Other than getting out of debt from school).
Anyone interested in learning some foreign languages? Middlesex Community College was offering Japanese, Spanish...

Masterfully done...I like your outlook on things...Indeed, We should all take that initial "boost" of confidence and Energy and DO something with it....
You should be very proud of yourself. I know how much hard work and effort you have but into this "baby" of yours.....
