PLASTIC SURGEON ADVICE
Good morning, all. Can anyone recommend a really good plastic surgeon in CT that will also fight to get the work covered by insurance? I have significant skin left on my thighs, and also want to consult about abdominoplasty and face skin (can you say sharpei???) I need someone who is really competent and who will fight hard to get the work covered by my insurance. Thanks so much, I appreciate your help. Maureen
Reenie,
Yale New Haven hospital has an excellent staff. It is a teaching hospital but the surgeons you see are very good. I have several friends who have gone to them. No they do not take insurance but the costs are extemely low when you compare. and the care is very very very good.
Where I work I know of 3 women in the past year who have gone to them. One had a TT and a face lift (she also had dr A) and she looks fantastic. She was back to work within two weeks. *Heidi are you reading this???* she looks llike she's 15years younger and her TT is flat. Cost wise total I believe it was 4k
I've thought about calling them for a consultation. If you want the number I can send it to you.

Reenie, I met with two, one at St. Francis, who shall remain nameless, very stiff and not at all my type. He would not even consider insurance, cash only. I met with Dr. Cech from Hartford Hospital and he is WONDERFUL. Personality is a great thing. He was younger, was very, very thorough and really took the time to meet with my husband and I. His sense of humor is a bonus too. I am having my surgery on 2/23/07, and can not wait. Not only that, but my tummy tuck is going to be covered, he was willing to send a letter and pictures on my behalf. I would recommend him 10 times over. I will post on the plastic surgery forum following my surgery to give my go ahead or otherwise following my surgery.
Melissa.
