Therapist

Does anyone know of a good therapist in the Hartford area that deals with post op patients?

i would love that information too...

There are 2 I can think of,,, they both are in West Hartford. One is Psychological Health Associates in Bishops Corner. They are a group of therapists, social workers, etc. I don't know if they specifically deal with obesity surgery, but I do know they have patients with eating disorders. The second is the organization I work within. It is called Jewish Family Services. You don't have to be jewish to make an appointment. It is a really great network of therapists, social workers and a psychiatrist (my boss). You don't have to see the psychiatrist, he is just included in the package should you feel you need medications. I know these people and they are extremely competant and compassionate. They are a great bunch. Again, they don't specifically deal with obesity surgery, although the doctor has quite a few patients who have done it or about to do it, but they deal with eating disorders.
