WHAT IS FOR DINNER TONIGHT??????
How many of you are like me and really don't like cooking as much anymore? I found it tough to cook for the family when I didn't have the same tastes and appetite anymore- post operatively- not only that I remember the early post op times being very hard- to make food for a family while I sipped my freaking shakes....WELL here's a great idea- I have been there twice and the meals I bring home are spectacular- I often sit down now with the family and eat with them again- becasue the meals are good and easily "tweaked" to my diet (I just omit the rice or starch side dish) You go to this place and make up all the meals - up to 12 of them - the prep work is all done- all you do is put it all together and bring it home to freeze- it takes about 2 hours for me to make up 12 meals to bring home- I freeze them and then take them out as I use them - I use them a few imes a week and still have to cook inbetween, of course- but it's nice to have a GOOD meal inbetween the hot dogs and mac and cheese (for the kids NOT me) Go look at the menus- they are awesome. I wished this place was around when I had surgery I would have done it pre op to fill the freezer for the family....check it out

by the way hope your pain issue is resolved soon.rest up and get well.
Hey Momo,
Great idea for all. There is also a place in Orange CT called Super Suppers which is on the same line as this place near you. So if anyone down this way needs help check it out. They did a demo for our senior center and it was awesome. Some good stuff to get prepared.
